As we close our 21st season, Vocális is joined by one of America’s choral greats, Jake Runestad. Jake’s visceral music and charismatic personality have fostered a busy schedule of commissions, residencies, and workshops, enabling him to be one of the youngest full-time composers in the world. His works have been performed world-wide by such groups as VOCES8, Seraphic Fire, and Conspirare.
Community Sing with Jake Runestad
Meet the composer as he conducts you through a rehearsal of his music. All in the community are invited, and music will be provided. Bring your voice, or just sit and listen. Join us for an inspiring evening of community and song. Participants are also invited to sing the rehearsed work on Sunday afternoon, June 4th. Join Vocalis and Jake Runestad as part of our Season Finale Concert. Admission to the Community Sing can also be used to attend and sing at the concert. You choose! Admission: Friday Only – $10; Friday & Sunday – $20.
