ABC Choirs is hosting a restorative choral session and concert, where students will participate in learning a commissioned piece based on student emotional needs, alongside emotional healing seminars. This one-day session will take place at the Christ United Methodist Church in Amherst, NY.
This one-day workshop is open to students ages 10-18 and their supporting parents in Erie County, free of charge. There is no limit to how many singers can participate. Water and snacks will be provided, and packed lunches will be available upon request. Throughout the day, participants will partake in a variety of sessions, including rehearsals of the commissioned piece, mental health seminars, yoga, and guided sessions for the emotional awareness and growth of the young artist. The day will culminate with an informal performance of our commissioned piece with all participants of the workshop. This restorative experience will be an opportunity for students in the Western New York area to heal and create relationships together through music.
