Casual Concert series: The Magic Muzurka, Chris Sierzchula, pianist

UUCB’s multi-talented keyboardist Chris Sierzchula will present a brief history of the Mazurka on piano. This dance form Inspired some of Chopin’s most intimate musical ideas. Chris will be contrasting selections from early to late Chopin interspersed with 3 composers also inspired to write their own: Alexander Scriabin, Claude Debussy and Karol Szymanowski. Chris graduated with an M.A. in piano performance from the University of Buffalo.
