In partnership with the Colored Musicians Club, the JCC is proud to be part of the Buffalo History Museums Happy Hour Series, presenting a special program including the history and inspiration of jazz music on Harold Arlen. Harold Arlen was born on Buffalo’s East Side as Hyman Arluck in 1905. Arlen took the sounds of the synagogue, his neighborhood, and the music of the clubs and created over 400 songs in 50 years, including Over the Rainbow. Enjoy live music and an archival exhibit.
