SUMMARY:Sierra Ferrell: Heavy Petal Tour at Artpark (Lewiston\, NY)
DESCRIPTION:DSP Shows Presents: \nSierra Ferrell: Heavy Petal Tour\nSeptember 2\, 2026\nArtpark Mainstage | Lewiston\, NY \nSale Dates and Times:\nPublic Onsale : Thu\, 12 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AM\nArtparker Membership Presale : Tue\, 10 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AM\nArtist Presale : Tue\, 10 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AM\nDSP Presale : Wed\, 11 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AM\nSpotify Presale : Wed\, 11 Feb 2026 at 12:00 PM \nsierraferrellmusic.com \nOne of the brightest young luminaries in roots music today\, Sierra Ferrell brings a dose of beautifully strange magic to everything she touches. Since the release of her 2024 album Trail Of Flowers (Rounder Records)\, the West Virginia-born singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist took home the Artist of the Year and Album of the Year prizes at the Americana Honors & Awards\, and won four GRAMMY awards for Best Americana Album (Trail of Flowers)\, Best American Roots Performance (“Lighthouse”)\, Best Americana Performance (“American Dreaming”)\, and Best American Roots Song (“American Dreaming”). Ferrell has collaborated with the likes of Margo Price\, Old Crow Medicine Show\, and Post Malone\, and enchanted audiences all over North America and Europe with her high-spirited and dazzling live performance. On Trail Of Flowers\, the Nashville-based artist expands her sound while deepening the urgency of her songs\, often revealing a wealth of wisdom within her wildly imaginative storytelling. \nHer first full-length since Long Time Coming—a 2021 release that drew praise from outlets like Pitchfork\, Paste\, Pop Matters\, and No Depression—Trail Of Flowers came to life with producer Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan\, Brandi Carlile\, Chris Stapleton) and additional production by Gary Paczosa (Alison Krauss\, Dwight Yoakam\, Gillian Welch) and with such esteemed musicians as Chris Scruggs. In keeping with a musical upbringing that included playing everywhere from truck stops to boxcars to New Orleans street corners\, the album journeys from freewheeling bluegrass to heartrending old-time music to fantastically gritty honky-tonk and beyond\, endlessly changing shape to accommodate the immense scope of Ferrell’s eccentric musicality. Mainly recorded at Sound Emporium Studios and featuring guest appearances from singer/songwriters Lukas Nelson and Nikki Lane\, Trail Of Flowers ultimately fulfills her longstanding mission of making music that transcends all barriers of time. “I wanted to create something that makes people feel nostalgic for the past\, but excited about the future of music\,” Ferrell points out. \nInstantly proving her extraordinary capacity to merge timeless musicianship with lyrics exploring modern concerns\, Trail Of Flowers opens on “American Dreaming”: a world-weary yet soul-stirring track that speaks to the struggle to build a good life in a culture consumed by capitalism. Another song informed by her singular outlook on the modern world\, “Fox Hunt” takes the form of a furiously stomping epic driven by galloping rhythms and some feverish fiddle work from Ferrell. On “Rosemary\,” she delves further into her old-time roots and delivers the album’s most haunting moment: a stark but spellbinding story-song graced with a few bars of soulful yodeling. A profoundly gifted vocalist\, Ferrell often captures an entire world of feeling in just a single line\, particularly on tracks like “Dollar Bill Bar”—a swinging but wistful number on which she cycles from longing to regret to devil-may-care attitude with impossible ease. And on “I Could Drive You Crazy\,” Ferrell serves up one of the most joyful moments on Trail Of Flowers\, sharing a harmony-fueled and singalong-ready love song that’s both self-effacing and gloriously fun. \nIn selecting a title for her latest body of work\, Ferrell chose to reference her deep love of flowers and affinity for surrounding herself with gorgeously colorful blossoms—a perfect reflection of her wondrous inner world. As a listening experience\, Trail Of Flowers provides a similar sensation of all-enveloping and off-kilter beauty—one that Ferrell hopes might lift others into a more charmed state of mind. “I’m just trying to put words and melodies together and build it into something people can pour their feelings too\, all their happiness and sorrows\, so that it changes their reality a little bit and gives them some comfort\,” she says. “To me music is like medicine. And whenever I write a song and it feels healing to me\, I know it can heal other people too.” \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1428490682247826/ \n\nTickets & Event Information \n\n \nDSP Shows Presents: \nSierra Ferrell: Heavy Petal TourSeptember 2\, 2026Artpark Mainstage | Lewiston\, NY \nSale Dates and Times:Public Onsale : Thu\, 12 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AMArtparker Membership Presale : Tue\, 10 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AMArtist Presale : Tue\, 10 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AMDSP Presale : Wed\, 11 Feb 2026 at 10:00 AMSpotify Presale : Wed\, 11 Feb 2026 at 12:00 PM \nsierraferrellmusic.com \nOne of the brightest young luminaries in roots music today\, Sierra Ferrell brings a dose of beautifully strange magic to everything she touches. SUMMARY:Blacktop Mojo: Texas Checkmate Tour w/ Seven Year Witch at Iron Works | AUG 21
DESCRIPTION:Blacktop Mojo bring their Texas Checkmate Tour to Buffalo Iron Works on Friday\, August 21st with special guest Seven Year Witch! \nBlacktop Mojo:Formed in late 2012 by vocalist Matt James and drummer Nathan Gillis in the small East Texas town of Palestine\, Blacktop Mojo’s fiery blend of sludgy grooves\, classic rock guitar riffs\, and southern metal shredding falls somewhere between Soundgarden\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, and ZZ Top to form a sound deemed by some as “Texas Grunge”. The music draws on a multitude of genres and styles to form a hodgepodge of dirty\, heavy rock and roll mixed with sensual and at times even\, carnal blues. After their debut album “I Am”in 2014\, The band spent a few years cutting their teeth in dive bars\, dancehalls\, and honkytonks around Texas. In 2017\, during the recording of their sophomore record “Burn The Ships” the guys quit their day jobs\, moving into a small house together in Palestine\, TX. The house created an unbreakable fellowship between the band and a culture of constant creativity. Since then\, the band has kept a relentless touring and recording schedule\, with multiple songs reaching the top 40 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Rock Charts\, no small feat for an independent artist. The band continues to grow the old-fashioned way by hitting the road\, sweating it out on stage\, and growing slowly\, but surely\, by word of mouth. “When you come see us\,” says lead singer Matt James\, “You’re seeing rock and roll the way it used to be.A group of people on stage playing their instruments right in front of your face. No laptops\, no backing tracks. What you see is what you get.” \nBuffalo Iron Works49 Illinois St\, Buffalo\, NY 14203Doors: 7:00pmShow: 8:00pmAges: 18+ \nAll-In Pricing NoticeIn accordance with New York State law\, all ticketed events must display the total price of admission upfront — including all fees\, charges\, and taxes.
